Overview

NCI Definition: Small lymphocytic lymphoma characterized by the presence of somatic hypermutation within the immunoglobulin heavy chain gene variable region of neoplastic clones. Patients have a better prognosis as compared to those with unmutated immunoglobulin heavy chain gene variable region rearrangements. [1]
