A purified, natural saponin isolated from the soapbark tree Quillaja saponaria Molina with potential immunoadjuvant activity. When co-administered with vaccine peptides, QS21 may increase total antitumoral vaccine-specific antibody responses and cytotoxic T-cell responses.
