Overview

MMP2 is altered in 2.09% of all cancers with breast invasive ductal carcinoma, endometrial endometrioid adenocarcinoma, colon adenocarcinoma, glioblastoma, and high grade ovarian serous adenocarcinoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations [3].

The most common alterations in MMP2 are MMP2 D382N (0.44%), MMP2 A196T (0.39%), MMP2 A42S (11.11%), MMP2 A570V (0.39%), and MMP2 D106H (0.22%) [3].
