MYO5A is altered in 0.12% of all cancers with lung adenocarcinoma, breast invasive ductal carcinoma, dedifferentiated liposarcoma, colon adenocarcinoma, and anaplastic ganglioglioma having the greatest prevalence of alterations .
The most common alterations in MYO5A are MYO5A-ROS1 Fusion (0.10%) and MYO5A-NTRK3 Fusion (0.03%) .
