Ras homolog enriched in brain (RHEB) is a gene that encodes a lipid-anchored, cell membrane protein. The protein regulates cell growth and cell cycle progression. Missense, nonsense, and silent mutations are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and stomach cancer.

RHEB is altered in 0.38% of all cancers with lung adenocarcinoma, colon adenocarcinoma, endometrial endometrioid adenocarcinoma, breast invasive ductal carcinoma, and prostate adenocarcinoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations [3].
