ACO2
Aconitase 2, mitochondrial (ACO2) is a gene that encodes a member of the aconitase/IPM isomerase family. The protein functions as an enzyme in the TCA cycle that catalyzes the conversion of citrate to isocitrate. Missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, nonstop extensions, frameshift deletions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and skin cancer.
