Apolipoprotein B mRNA editing enzyme, catalytic polypeptide-like 3B (APOBEC3B) is a gene that encodes a protein that belongs to the cytidine deaminase enzyme family. The protein functions in RNA editing as well as the regulation of cell growth and cell cycle control. Missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, and frameshift deletions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and stomach cancer.
