B-cell CLL/lymphoma 11A (zinc finger protein) (BCL11A) is a gene that encodes a zinc-finger protein that functions as a myeloid and B-cell proto-oncogene. The protein may be involved in lymphoma pathogenesis. Fusions, missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift deletions and insertions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as intestinal cancer, skin cancer, and stomach cancer.
