BCL2-LIKE 2 (BCL2L2) is a gene that encodes a protein that belongs to the BCL-2 protein family. The protein functions in the regulation of apoptosis in cytotoxic conditions. Missense and silent mutations are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and stomach cancer.

BCL2L2 is altered in 0.46% of all cancers with lung adenocarcinoma, infiltrating renal pelvis and ureter urothelial carcinoma, bladder urothelial carcinoma, colon adenocarcinoma, and endometrial endometrioid adenocarcinoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations [3].
