Cullin 3 (CUL3) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions as a core component and scaffold protein of an E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. Missense mutations, synonymous mutations, nonsense mutations, frameshift insertions, and frameshift deletions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, stomach cancer, and skin cancer.

CUL3 is altered in 1.23% of all cancers with lung adenocarcinoma, endometrial endometrioid adenocarcinoma, bladder urothelial carcinoma, prostate adenocarcinoma, and colon adenocarcinoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations [3].
