DCN1, defective in cullin neddylation 1, domain containing 1 (DCUN1D1) is a gene that encodes for a protein that functions as a component of an E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. Missense mutations, synonymous mutations, and nonsense mutations are observed in cancers such as colon cancer, endometrial cancer, and stomach cancer.

DCUN1D1 is altered in 0.99% of all cancers with squamous cell lung carcinoma, breast invasive ductal carcinoma, high grade ovarian serous adenocarcinoma, conventional glioblastoma multiforme, and colon adenocarcinoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations [3].
