EPH receptor A5 (EPHA5) is a gene that encodes a protein-tyrosine kinase in the ephrin receptor family. Missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, and frameshift insertions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and stomach cancer.

EPHA5 is altered in 2.91% of all cancers with lung adenocarcinoma, colon adenocarcinoma, endometrial endometrioid adenocarcinoma, breast invasive ductal carcinoma, and squamous cell lung carcinoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations [3].
