SLC1A2
Solute carrier family 1 (glial high affinity glutamate transporter), member 2 (SLC1A2) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions as a membrane-bound protein. The protein is a transporter that clears the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate from the synapses in the CNS. Fusions, missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift deletions and insertions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as intestinal cancer, peritoneal cancer, and stomach cancer.
