SMARCA1
SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a, member 1 (SMARCA1) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions as an ATPase. The protein is important for chromatin remodeling and transcription. The protein may also be involved in DNA damage, growth inhibition, and the apoptosis of cancer cells. Missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift deletions and insertions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and skin cancer.
