Zinc finger protein 384 (ZNF384) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions as a zinc finger transcription factor. The protein also binds and regulates the promoters of the extracellular matrix genes. Fusions, missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift deletions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and upper aerodigestive tract cancer.

ZNF384 is altered in 0.22% of all cancers with breast invasive ductal carcinoma, cervical squamous cell carcinoma, glioblastoma, lung adenocarcinoma, and bladder urothelial carcinoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations [3].
