Protein [2]
Proliferation marker protein Ki-67
Synonyms [1]
KIA, MIB-1, MIB-, PPP1R105

Marker of proliferation Ki-67 (MKI67) is a gene that encodes a nuclear protein that functions in cellular proliferation. Missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift deletions and insertions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and stomach cancer.

MKI67 is altered in 5.29% of all cancers with colon adenocarcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, glioblastoma, and melanoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations [3].
