Raf-1 proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase (RAF1, also known as CRAF) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions downstream of RAS and activates MEK1 and MEK2. Fusions, rearrangements, missense mutations, nonsense mutations, and silent mutations are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and stomach cancer.

RAF1 is altered in 1.21% of all cancers with colon adenocarcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, bladder urothelial carcinoma, endometrial endometrioid adenocarcinoma, and cutaneous melanoma having the greatest prevalence of alterations [3].

RAF1 GENIE Cases - Top Diseases

The most common alterations in RAF1 are RAF1 Mutation (0.90%), RAF1 Amplification (0.25%), RAF1 S257L (0.09%), RAF1 Fusion (0.08%), and RAF1 S259F (0.03%) [3].
